If someone wrote a one-sentence summary of your life, what would it say?

Worship

Light a candle.

Holding it, share one thing you are grateful for, pass on, and so you go round the group.

Open in prayer.

Word (Discipleship):

Scripture reading: Ephesians 4:1-16

1. Take an inventory of your life, thinking and behaviours: ✓ What do I need to put off? ✓ What do I need to put on?

2. How do you personally go about renewing your mind? (vs. 23)

3. Why is it that the Bible tells us to not let the sun go down on our wrath, and how does unresolved anger affect us? (vs. 26)

4. Being honest, what does vs. 29 challenge in your life? (Gossip? Swearing? Criticism? Negativity?.....)

5. What do you think it takes to grieve the Holy Spirit? (vs. 30)

Works (Mission)

With us not having a Christmas Day service in the building, we are encouraging everyone to reach out and involve at least one other person in our festivities. Spend this week considering who you will invite, and then reach out to them. Next week feedback to the group how it went?

What is the most dangerous thing you have ever done?

Worship

Invite everyone to bring an object with them that reminds them of an aspect of God’s character.

Word (Discipleship):

Scripture reading: Ephesians 4:1-16

1. What does a worthy (vs.1) life look like? (answers can be found in vs. 2-6)

2. Vs. 3 Why do you think unity is so important to God, and how do we make sure we keep unity as members of PVC?

3. Under what circumstances would unity be wrong?

4. What does it mean to “speak the truth in love” (vs. 15) in the context of your group?

5. Vs. 16 refers to the Body (church) growing up as each part does its work. What ‘part’ or role do you sense God wants you to play at PVC?

Works (Mission)

Is there any fellow member of the PVC family you are not in unity with, not at peace with? Make an appointment with them this next week, be reconciled, sort it out, and pray together.
