In Part 6 of our Ephesians series we continue Paul's flow of thought from knowing and understanding the love of God to actually living it out as a Christian community. The unity of the church is a central theme in the book of Ephesians. But since we all start out as spiritual infants in Christ, this love and unity of the Spirit does not come naturally to our sin-tainted hearts; it will require some collective effort, humility, and patience to grow and mature into a unified body of Christlike believers. Thankfully, Jesus has supplied us with everything we need to fulfil this calling together.
Ephesians verse-by-verse, challenges believers to live out the gospel. If the people of our city, of our school, of our family, are going to hear the gospel - it's going to be from our mouth. Encounter Ephesians and get swept up into the story of Jesus.

In Part 5 of our Ephesians series we arrive at chapter 3. These verses contain some of the most emphatic and encouraging statements about the love of God: the goodness of His love's intent, its power to affect hearts and lives on a global and personal scale, the vastness and depth of its reach. Paul profoundly understood something of God's great love, and his prayer for his readers, then and now, is that we too might know this love that surpasses knowledge.
