About the event
As a highly connected generation, we face some of the greatest mental health challenges, feeling disconnected in a world filled with noise. We are busy, distracted, and lonely in a crowded world.
To help address this, the Care Team will be offering a 4-week listening course from May 9th to May 30th, presented by the Aloe Christian Foundation. This course will focus on the importance of listening, the Listening Revolution, listening to feelings, and listening as a life skill. It will teach you how to actively listen to others, not to problem solve but to listen. Also to listen to the Holy Spirit’s direction and guidance.
The cost per person will be R300.
The course will run over 4 Tuesdays (9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th May) 7pm to 9.30pm. All sessions need to be completed.
In a world that is broken, you have the power to make a difference by becoming a person who listens with the heart of God. Christian Listening is the art of listening to others with the ears and heart of God, enabling us to better hear ourselves, others, and God. By listening intently, we can disconnect from the noise and reconnect with those around us, allowing others to blossom and grow.
Good listening skills will help you in all areas of your life. We encourage anyone who has a relationship with a spouse, children, friend, family or colleagues - that’s all of you - to sign up for the course as good listening skills will improve any of these relationships.
