Pastor's Note - 10 November 2021

In this week's Pastor's Note, Brent talks about our common frustrations with load shedding and being disconnected from our power supply, in comparision to how we sometimes feeling disconnected from God.

-----

(#)WELCOME:

This Sunday after the 10 AM service we're hosting a (#)Welcome session in the main hall for anyone who's new in the life of the church. It's an opportunity to get to know one another and for you to find out about the "DNA" of Protea Valley Church and what it means to be a part of this community. Please do come along.

-----

QUICKET BOOKINGS AND CANCELLATIONS:

We're trying our best to safely accommodate as many people as we can in our Sunday Worship Service. If you have booked to attend and can't make it, please do cancel your tickets on Quicket, but take note that cancellations cannot be done within 24 hrs before the service starts, so be sure to cancel before then where possible.

CAROLS IN THE COURTYARD:

Sunday, 5 December, 18:30 - 20:30, bring a picnic and join us for fellowship and Christmas Carols. Bookings will be made available from next week.

-----

CHRISTMAS DAY SERVICE - ONLINE ONLY:

We want to give our overwhelmed staff and volunteers some time off - since Christmas is less of a Christian festival and more a commercialised holiday anyway (Jesus wasn't really even born in December). But we want to challenge you to take this opportunity to open your homes and invite your friends to spend Christmas with you - to show them real Christian hospitality and share with them something of God's work in your life and the testimony of how He is transforming your family.

-----

TWO FULL-TIME POSITIONS OPENING UP:

Communications Manager: to be responsible for internal and external communications, connecting all the various ministries, and utilising social media to reach the broader community with the good that God is doing through us, and particularly the Re:New Trust, so that more people can partner with us to make a difference in this world and see God's kingdom come. If you're interested, send an email to sean@proteavalleychurch.org

Next Gen Pastor: to further develop our kids, teens, and young adults ministries.

Please join us in prayerfully seeking God's face to find the right people for these roles.
