Pastor's Note - 30 June 2021

In this week's Pastor's Note, Brent talks about the need to shift some of our thinking and practices in the way that we "do church" in order to be a church that is resilient and effective at extending God's kingdom in whatever circumstances.

We're seeing again and again the importance of small group community (even while they're restricted to online meetings), as a means to grow in faith and to have a sense of belonging in the body of Christ, especially while we're unable to gather together as a whole. If you aren't already part of a ConnectGroup or LifeGroup, please contact us, we'd love to help you get connected. Email: lifegroups@proteavalleychurch.org

It's so great to see the fruit of your giving - we're really excited to share with you the Re:New Trust's annual report so that you can see the real difference that this is making in the broader community. CLICK HERE to download the report.

We look forward to seeing you online this Sunday for "church at home" - PLEASE NOTE: we'll be sharing Holy Communion, so be sure to have your bread and grace juice ready to partake together.

We're sensing the need to increase our engagement in prayer, and to do so intentionally - to see God at work in us and through us in our neighbourhoods and work places. Many are in great need of the Lord's presence and intervention in their lives, so we encourage you to make a point of regularly praying for your neighbours, family, friends, and colleagues. Let's be the church that Jesus has called us to be.
