In this week's sermon:

In the Old Testament, Pentecost was a festival celebrating the abundance of harvest time. Today, it represents the birth of the Church, recorded for us here in the book of Acts. The imagery of this account reminds us that gathering together as a church is a joyous occasion - that we have reason to celebrate God’s abundance towards us and in us through the pouring out of His Holy Spirit in power upon the church. This is something of which we need a renewed experience today, and so Grant leads us in a posture and time of seeking the infilling of the Spirit in prayer.
