What did Jesus mean when He said that we are the salt of the earth? As it turns out, there isn't just one right way or thing we must do in order to apply this metaphor in Jesus’ teaching. Perhaps the more urgent question then is how does salt lose its saltiness so that it becomes good for nothing except to be thrown out? In this sermon, Brent shows us that it's not so much a matter of doing (like following a checklist of tasks to tick off) but it's a matter of being. How is it that we ARE the salt of the earth?
