Sunday Service - 27 June 2021

SERVICES IN THE BUILDING ARE CLOSED

As you've probably already heard, due to the increasing number of Covid cases in the area, our elders made the difficult decision to close the building for services until the beginning of August, when the situation will be reassessed.

WE'LL SEE YOU ONLINE

In the meantime, we look forward to having you join us for our online service, premiering on Sunday at 9 AM (CAT). Watch with us here on YouTube or Facebook<-- Click on the links to tune in for the premiere.

If you miss gathering as a church for Sunday worship as much as we do, here's a suggestion to help you foster a stronger sense of community: Consider meeting with one other household or with your ConnectGroup to watch the online service together. But please keep your social "bubble" as small as possible and practice caution to prevent any possible spread of the virus.

In this week's sermon:

We'll be hearing about the comfort of God. Grief is a normal part of being human in a fallen world. So much so that Jesus felt grief at his friend Lazarus' death. This account of Jesus coming to Lazarus’ family has much to teach us about managing our own grief and about helping others face theirs.

IMPORTANT REMINDER

If you have donations of pre-loved clothes or homeware for sale at the Re:New Market Day, please arrange to drop these off at the church office before Wednesday, 30 June.

The Market Day is taking place on Saturday, 3 July, and all proceeds will go to the New Life Centre - what you consider 'extra stuff' could become a real blessing to others.

The New Life Centre is a Bellville-based organisation that supports pregnant women and girls in crisis. By providing a place of safety, unconditional love and acceptance during their pregnancy, it encourages these women and girls to choose adoption as an alternative to abortion. The mothers are directly involved in the adoption process by choosing a family for their babies and meeting them.

Donated items should be clean and in good working or wearable condition. Please contact the church office to arrange drop-off. For more information speak to Candice or contact the church office on 021 913 3826 (Tues-Fri mornings) or email info@renew.org.za
