This week Brent continues with "The Red Letters ~ Teachings of Jesus" preaching from Matthew 7:21-27 about the foundations on which we build our Christian faith.
When dealing with the subject of our eternal state, the Bible often speaks about two camps: the believers and the non-believers. But when we look at how Jesus addresses different groups of people, there’s a dangerous “middle” ground that emerges, that is the make-believers - those who maintain the forms and rituals of religion, but without the foundation of true belief. In this sermon, Brent expands on Jesus’ analogy of building foundations according to the various groups we might find ourselves in today. Which of these does your life resemble?
