WHAT IS RENEW HOPE
As a church we really want to look for long term and sustainable solutions to help people both in our valley and further afield into the city.
Yet, in the short term, in the wake of crises such as the Covid-19 pandemic, we also need to provide basic resources to help people get back on their feet.
This is how we do our part in reshaping the world to be as Jesus intended it to be.
The Renew Hope platform brings together the people, passion, resources, structure and network connections of Protea Valley Church and the Re:New Trust in a coordinated effort to facilitate gospel-centred care and support, both within the community of believers and to the people around us.
All of the organisations and causes we have chosen to support have been prayerfully considered with the aim of promoting humility in the giver and dignity to the receiver, to the glory of God, remembering that we are all equally created in God's image (Genesis 1:27) AND that every good thing we have is a gracious gift of the Father, who has given to us life and breath and everything else (Acts 17:25)
