Protea Valley Church Celebrates New Members Joining the Family
Protea Valley Church (PVC) is thrilled to welcome members to the family. We’re celebrating their commitment to the PVC mission where we love Jesus, make disciples and serve together for Jesus’ fame!
PVC is much more than a place of worship; it is a vibrant community of believers who are dedicated to living out their faith together. At PVC, we invite everyone to embark on a journey of faith, one that revolves around the key elements of worship, disciple-making, community, and mission.
As a church community, we are committed to practical ways of showing our love for Jesus and each other. We are determined to make disciples and serve together, united by a common mission. Our aim is to grow alongside one another, walking hand in hand as we love, serve, and follow Him.
Church Membership: Joining the PVC Mission
Church membership at PVC holds great significance. It is a formal declaration of belonging to our congregation and a commitment to join us in our mission. By becoming a member, you are saying "yes" to walk alongside our community, striving to become more like Jesus and be held accountable in your journey with Him.
Membership Process
We firmly believe that genuine discipleship and community happen within our mid-week community groups. It is in these groups where individuals can truly grow and serve with like-minded members.
To become a PVC member, we request those interested to first join one of our mid-week groups. These groups provide an environment for spiritual growth and fellowship, allowing group leaders to get to know you better. As you spend time with your group, your leaders will put your name forward for membership.
Completing the Membership Form
After a period of journeying together, a membership form will be completed by the group leaders and potential members. The form serves as a tool for us to better understand your love for the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, as well as your personal journey of baptism. It is also an opportunity for you to share your experiences within the mid-week group.
Welcoming New Members
Once the elders have approved your membership, we will welcome you as a new member of PVC. These special moments of welcoming new members take place on Sundays throughout the year, signifying the start of your journey with us.
