About the event
So why focus on 'Inner Resistance'? It's curious how we desire God's presence in our lives, yet when asked to deepen our relationship, we hesitate. Even when it could benefit us greatly. For example, we might hear an invitation for prayer after a meeting. We know we have a problem that needs Jesus' help, but we resist the invitation, the gift of Jesus’ grace and mercy to move the mountains in our lives. We resist due to feelings of inadequacy, fear, shame, guilt, or fear of being exposed. Asking for prayer requires faith – it's saying to Jesus that we believe He can heal us. Amen means Yes! It's a word of agreement: Jesus says Yes to us, I say Yes to Him, and together as a believing community, we all say Yes.
